A few beginner-ish questions...

hey guys,
Well, ive had my bike for a week now, and am having a blast, but still have a few questions...

Ive been trying to take it easy because Im still breaking in the engine, but how long/anything special i should be doing during this time?

Also, how often should i be changing the oil? The owners manual says im good for the 1st month, but ive been seeing people on here who say do it every few hrs or days of riding time... just want to make sure i dont wait too long before i do something

Follow your manual. Those on here that you are seeing that are changing it every few hours are riding race bikes.

It's worth doing the initial oil and filter change after the first hour or so of break-in riding regardless of the way you ride. Changing the oil early helps remove some of the junk that inevitably floats around after a new engine is assembled.

No one ever hurt an engine by changing the oil too early. ;)
