Last year I was sent to assist with the clean up after Sandy. Here's a few of the photos from my time abord the USS Wasp there:

Those are some seriously awesome shots Kav, with the last few really spectacular. The Helo with Lady Liberty and the World Trade Center from the back of the transport ( with all the rivet detail in focus) are shots I am truly envious of. Well done! Your skills and eye for the great shot seem to constantly move forward. :cool:

I will say that you are a photo hero ... THAT STUFF is real.

You've learned how to overwhelm the viewer with reality.. as if we are there. FEW have achieved this level of photography my friend, I am certainly not one of them and they pay me to press the button...

Thanks, I am glad you like them. The WTC photo is one I am very happy with. I have found that I like to shoot with very wide angle photos (that one was shot with Nikon's 14-24mm @19mm) I have a 15mm lens that always seems to be mounted to one of my cameras at all times.

I am trying to improve, and am starting to get noticed. But I feel I still have a ways to go.

I don't have anymore hurricane photos handy, but will dig some more up later. In the mean time here's a few photos from work:

I don't understand why but in many of those I *feel* like I am there. Very cool perspective that gives that feeling.
