hey guys, i have a ttr-125L and i read this guy dremmeled 24 ounces off his flywheel and it made it quicker....now if i did that would it make it quicker?? and if i like did get the sides like even would it screw my engine up??? thanks, Matt

I'm pretty certain that if the flywheel wasn't balanced almost perfectly it would destroy your motor over time. I'm not sure if what the immediate affects would be, but I'd guess the flywheel would likely fail.

Lightening the flywheel allows the engine to rev quicker. It doesn't add any horsepower. The only way to remove the material is with a lathe. It keeps the flywheel true and in balance. Do not attempt any backyard magic (i.e. hand work) on this one.

MXFastguy is right it makes it rev quicker and has to be done by a good machinist. Its a job that takes a bit of time as the steel is hard and has to be cut slowly. If you trail ride its an OK mod if you MX its a must do.
