airbox vents

what do you guys think of these things? :think:

Another place for water to get in. You may get an increase in power but where i ride its not worth having.

you ride trails? I just ride track, so I dont think water should be a problem.

Yes, i ride lots of water bogs and river crossings so this is not all that good for me. Also, i think it would be bad for really heavily dusty and sandy tracks.

I cut about 4 1/2" vents into my 02 YZ250 side panel. I can honestly say that it didn't help any noticeable amount. All it does is let more dirt in.

All of the modern MX bikes have decent air boxes.
