Well... I used to be a member of a private land lease out in Pell City, but I only went there 3 times in one year, so I couldn't justify the cost for the number of times that I went out there.
I did some riding down at Clanton with Mark and Tim, I went there twice, and I've raced there before. I also rode down there when I was working on the BT&T enduro.
I was a member at Meridian, but only got to ride there once before it shut down. I've ridden out a Kentuck since '89, but those trails are way too wide, and I try to avoid that place as much as possible.
Before all of the land development and lawsuits, we used to ride out in Helena all the time, but I haven't been out there in 5 or 6 years.
We used to put our enduro on at Jemison Alabama, and I knew that place like the back of my hand, but land sales, new houses, and hunting clubs shut that down for us, so no race there anymore and I don't ride there anymore.
To be honest, I don't get to do too much trail riding. I go to the races when I can. Some of the trail riding I do is at events like DRN's Dirtweek, (I've been to both, and will make it again this year if it's at Cooperland) and I'm going to the Lorretta Lynn's trail ride in a few weeks. It's a large organized two day trail ride.
One of my buddies has been riding at the trails around the bowl out in Helena. I cut a lot of trail out there years ago. He's going to take me out there and we'll see if we can get a decent loop in. There's one other members only place that I'm scouting out, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to get in. IF I do, I will probably get to do more trail riding this year.
There. That's a really long answer to your question.
How come you didn't go to the enduro this weekend out in LA? I didn't go because it's too far, and I have many chores to do around the house. I've been to that race many times and it's a really fun one.
