they showed us today a new process that will make going racing way more rider friendly.
Anyone that races will be now required to hold a AMA Competition card. This will REPLACE your current AMA card at the same cost. SO when your renewal happens this is what you should get instead of the normal card. Same price.
Extra Liability waiver will be also required, this is a YEAR WAIVER!
After you recieve your card and the process is in place at your track, NO MORE RELEASE forms. NO more Minor FOrms.
Just think you will be able to take the neighbor kid if you want, if he has the competition card.
This will be embossed AND swipe card, so "swipe the card" it enters it in the system.
Sign up should be much faster, and less chance to be turned away for not having the right forms signed.
this is all brand new but look for it as soon as next spring.
