On the bright side, my Dad is going to take the Land Yacht to Lake McKensie. He's going to leave Thursday so my travel plans are still with Justql, OKKX'r, and DWreck.

Where's your Dad coming from Brian? With your Dads RV I count 4 so far. His, mine, Butch and Justins.
Cabin: so far I have 3: Dan, Larry, Bundu with room for 3 more.
If this isn't right, someone chime in.

My dad lives 5 miles from me, so that would put him in Mannford, OK. ;)

That or he wants to make sure he's the first one there.

I was at the lake today and noticed they have the foundation for the new bathroom facility right next to the camping area ready to pour. It wasn't there last week. This great news. Now I just need to talk them into getting us some dumpsters dispersed thru-out the area so as to take away all the litterbugs last excuse for trashing up the place.

I have a Q about gas for this trip. I'll leave with both bikes full and my 5 gallon can full. If that doesn't get me through the weekend, how far is the nearest station? (I'm asking this to determine if I should buy another gas can.)

There's a gas pump next to the restraunt. I'll ask Jeanette if it's gonna be available for the weekend.

Hey Kenneth, I had talked to Jonathan about you guys coming. I'm the guy on the XR that showed you guys around at the Canadian River.

I'll be getting there around noon Friday.

Bundu, the cabin is supposed to have hot showers.

I've looked back thru this thread and can't figure out which meals are available and which are not. Is it just dinner? Or all meals, B-L-D?

Bringing lots of Power Bars and coffee, just in case... :thumb:

Also, if no one else is gonna sign up for that double bed in the cabin, Jen and I will. We're now looking at getting there earlier than expected, maybe by 9 or 10 Friday night.

The double bed is yours then Will.

The meals are going to be Sat and Sun morning breakfast and Sat evening supper.

I hope no one gets torqued at me but I'll be hitting you up for fees soon after you pull in Friday or Saturday morn before breakfast. Thanks.

Is it too late to get in on breakfest and dinner. I know myself and Jonathon will not make it for Sat. mourning breakfest and I doubt if we will do dinner but one of the guys that will be with us Friday said he would like to do Breakfest and Dinner for him and his son if its not to late.

Is it just the rocks to worry about or are there plastic eating trails down there? The reason I ask is I have a brand new set of plastic and graphics kit ready to go. I would hate to destroy it first time out, although I realize that in case of a crash all bets are off!

By the way, does everyone who is meeting at my house on Friday know how to get there?

Depends on what you consider plasitic eating trails. The is mesquite brush and cactus out there. Mesquite has very long and sharp thorns. You might consider tire sealent if you don't already run it. The trails I remeber were not thick with them. I would see it being a problem if you crash on a bush

Kenneth, no it's not too late. 2 people you say? Ok, I have it marked down. Email me with their names. [email protected]

DWreck, I'd say leave your old plastic on for this ride. I'm sure you'll add a few more scratches to it.

The latest weather report I've seen for Amarillo is calling for the possibility of rain Sunday. Don't know what that means yet for the lake which is an hour south. Friday looks nice and Sat. in the mid 40s. Keep your fingers crossed. If the lake gets much rain it will make the trails unridable.
