Hey, well I havent much time so im going to get to the point. My truck the bed rails are rusting away and my dad has told me the only way to stop the thing from fallin in is to stop tiein my bike to the rails. So a friend metioned the idea of making tie down anchors on the bed. My question is where the actual bed bolts down to the frame, I am wanting to take those 2 front bolts out get a HEAVY duty peice of metal or some kind of thing to bolt back like it was a washer or something. It would be bolted to my frame, and my worrys of a tie down holder breaking would be gone. So if any of you guys or gals have done this please give me some ideas on what I can do to achieve this goal thanks. later

hi alpinestar , Try replaceing the front two bed bolts with a pair of large eye bolts (i.e. the same size as the bolt that came out). I used this same method with my 16ft trailer to be able to haul up to 6 bikes. just my $.02.
good luck

My truck suffered a similar problem. In my case the pockets on the rail got pulled out of shape.

I installed a set of BedBolts . They work extremely well. Since I have a bedliner on my truck, they also serve as drain holes when I remove them. A little pricey...
