My buddy went riding yesterday, and came back with his 250SXF clattering loudly. He said it came on pretty suddenly. It doesn't sound like valves to me. It almost sounds like a rod bearing.

We haven't torn it down yet, so I don't know what the issue is yet. I was just wondering if anyone had a guess as to what might be wrong.

Darn orange bikes are giving me fits!

Is this one a completly different bike than the other 2 you mentioned in an earlier thread?

Let us know what you find on teardown.

Shaw...this one is my buddies bike, and yes, it is a different bike than the first 2.

2 Stroke...it really didn't sound like a cam bearing. It sounds deeper in the engine, not the top end. It went home to my bud's, and we haven't torn it down yet.

I guess we'll never know. He decided to unload it, so it went to auction and is gone.

He got himself an 07 450 SXF. :yikes:
