Hey all

I've got an 01 KDX200. The bike is completely stock down to the pipe and airbox lid still in place. Runs OK but seems pretty rich......lot's of splooge out the pipe. Jetting is factory stock. My question...of course......what is factory and where do I start....I'm at sea level.....I've seen some recommendations for 45/155 and as lean as 42/145 with stock pipe/silencer and lid still installed....

Thanks

Factory is 48/160. Try 45/155 and go from there.
I would buy 40-45 pj and 150-155 mj and a 1173 needle and start palying around with jetting to see what works for you.

My setup:
FMF desert, airbox mod, boysen reeds, torque ring
42/152 1173 needle
Works good 0-6000ft in the PNW, gets rich in the summer time at altitude.

Thanks guys

Can you get the float bowl off by rotating the carb on the 200? It looks awfully close the the frame/motormount bracket......even with the slide out.

why doesnt anyone match theyre cases and ports before getting aftermarket stuff i dont get that you can easily get a massive power gain thru the power curve w/o spending massive amounts of money

What does this have to do with a jetting question?
