Hello all, I am looking for a trailer (utility, moto or even an old boat trailer I can convert). I am on a tight budget and am looking for a used trailer but, not having much luck. I would like to spend about $300-$450. Any ideas? Oh yeah, is anyone going to muenster this weekend?

I bought a new heavy duty 5x10 uility trailer several years back for $500 cash. I later picked up some 5" channel (4" will work) from a scrap yard for $35. I had a buddy with a weld shop modify the channel for the bikes for a little barter work. It will haul 3 bikes with room to spare.

The whole thing with tags cost less than $600. The good thing is that it has either 14" or 15" tires (easy to find used tires everywhere) and you can drag it 80 mph and go any where unlike the trailer with small tires. I go off road, over rocks, up mountains, through rivers, you name it.

After 15 + years of dragging it behind me, I greased the wheel bearings, replaced the bottom wood with treated lumber (paint the wood top and bottom good when you get it - my error!!), and the frame needs a paint job now. Ready for another 15 years.

I do hope that we can meet up this weekend at Rocky Ridge. I bought one of those 4x8 utility trailers (the bolt together type) :bang: My son and I are just getting into the sport and funds are strained at the moment. I now know that I should not have bought it and waited for a nice used one but, you live and learn. If I can sell this thing soon though, you will be the first I contact. Do you have pics of the trailer and how much did you need for it. If you are at Rocky Ridge this weekend I will be on a yellow RM250 and my son on a red XR50. We will be the ones that look lost.
