Well today is the day, the big 25, woo hoo, big deal. I hate my b-day, its the one day a year that I wish I could just skip. I always wake up in a bad mood, even though the ones that love me do their best to make it the best. I have no idea why this happens. I am never in a bad mood, I never just wake up pissed off. I just can't explain it, there is no reason for me to be in a bad mood, I just am. I used to love my b-day, back when I was a young kid (like who wouldn't). Around the age of 16 I started to really dislike it. At 19 I got the flu on my b-day, nice present that was. I don't know, anyone in the same boat as me??

Hate to break this to you, but someone has to, the B-day's will come every year for the rest of your life! I know that might be news to you but if you hate them already, I'd hate to see you on your 40th or 50th! Believe it or not, after 30, I really enjoyed my B-days, it's another day to take off from work to go riding. Plan a riding day trip on that special day and if you want, take a B-day suit lap for fun. It'll definately turn some heads! Also, everyone has to be nice to you on that day so you can take advantage of it! Happy B-day!

25? Man, I'll trade ya! I know what you mean, though. I spent the big three-oh in bed with the flu. The more years that go by, the faster they come! Somebody said "Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end, the faster it goes!" Trust me, in 10-15 years, you'll know exactly how that feels!

Bah Hucker it ain't that bad, maybe you just don't like all the attention? Like pred said, it's better than not having any:scream: Go out for dinner with you girl, maybe go for a ride (I mean dirtbike ride here:p ) and it will all seem good, hey maybe you could take a few days off and go to fortress? eh?

Did you hear that loud thump........ It was me fall off my chair from laughing so hard.

The only reason I hate my birthday is because I don't like being the center of attention or people making a big deal of something I don't find that important to me. This being known, my ex had a suprise birthday party for me 3 years in a row. Key words are "my ex".

Hucker, it's only one day a year so make it a good one....Happy Birthday!

The build up/anticipation seems more fun. Next year just plan to be out-of-town doing something you've never done before. You can plan to have fun and not because it's your b-day.:p

BFD - life's a beach, then ya die. Early in our marriage I told the mrs. you were born once, not once every year on the same day - gimme a break! :silly:

Think of the word: birthday - there's only one day you were born. And then, like Pred said above, ya get only one with dirt on ya! Therefore make every one count, like Ol'49er said about Jim Hunter - there's a man that lived, & by living, affected many others; the Ol' guy is leaving a mark on mine.

It's a plot - these card makers & party shops are behind it; same with father's, mother's, secretary (bla, bla bla), boss :eek: day. Yeah, yeah: grumpy ol' dude here...so with that I say treat everyone with the respect (if) they deserve (it) throughout the year.

birthday? what birthday?!!!
I try like hell to forget them, but somehow my 6 year old just won't let it go :)
Last year, I got a paddle tire for my dirtbike, so that was cool. My 5 year old wanted to know why her dad didn't have a party for her mom. She made him take her to the store and buy cake and ice cream. When they got back, she said 'I tried to make him buy you a present but he wouldn't'!
She wasn't really impressed with my paddle tire I guess.

I like celebrating my B-day with family but I don't care for the whole celebration at work thing. I can't stand the stupid parties co-workers insist on having so everybody can get together and make awkward small talk.
