I have a fmf pipe but would like a change from my stock silencer , are the fmf qs as quiet ? also has anyone had any problems with the extra length?, Ie going over backwards and bending it?
If you want quiet, put on the stock, double wall chamber.
Heavy and slow; but quiet.
I think that an aftermarket chamber could be quiet of it had some acoustical damping material applied over the exterior. I was experimenting with high temp, leaded vinyl sheating but lost interest in the project because it would have looked awful and was hard to attach without adhesives.
I replaced my stock pipe and silencer with a FMF desert pipe and a FMF "Q" silencer. It is just slightly louder than the stock pipe and silencer. It gave me a big increase in power and was well worth the money.
