Hello,

I was wondering if there was anyone out there that knows a thing or two about ATK 406's, particularly the 89's . I bought one that has a bad or dissconnected kicker return spring. I know on any other bike that should be an easy fix ,right? Well this bike has a Rotax engine that has a hollow kicker shaft that the shifter shaft runs through (LIKE OLD CAN-AM) My question is : Do you have to split the crankcase to get to the kicker spring? I have had some people say you do and some say you don't. I just want to find out what kind of job I will be getting into. I did pull the side case but because of the clutch and kicker idler gear it is impossible for me to tell. Any ideas? Thanks.---Micxster
