Bad Reed Valve?

Hi all!
What are the symptoms exhibited on a 2 stroke when the reed valves are wore out. :ohmy: Thanks!

I had some cracked this winter after tear down and the only thing that
I could be sure of was that it was harder to start and acted like it was
going to die once in a while.

Poor starting and loss of low end power.

With a warped reed, my bike ran fine, but it was very diffiuclt to start cold.

I've got bike that doesn't start worth a darn. I replaced the reeds with Boy power reeds and it seemed to help a little. When changing reeds, the instructions state that they tend to richen the mix. Do you all agree? Is this because they restrict more air?
