Ok, I need some advice. I swamped my new-to-me 2003 CR250 down to the handlebars in some very thick mucky water - grey fine stuff from a gravel pit. I drained the tranny oil - 50% water, carburator - lots of water, coolant looked ok. About 2 liters of water came out of the exhaust and top end when I flipped it upside down. There was muck under the alternator cover. Air filter was soaking wet.

Bike was in the water for about 45 minutes before we could actually drag it out with ropes, etc.

The bike is in the shop right now for them to have a look see. Anything special I should ask them to do or replace?
Top end has never been done on this bike to my knowledge.
:ugg: :(

Well, the ideal cure would be to tear the engine down and flush crank bearings, but if you are not going to... at least turn the bike over (upside down with the handlebars and seat touching the ground) and unscrew the spark plug to let the water escape from the cylinder.
