I have been given the opportunity to go to Baja on a MSR Dealer trip. :yeehaw: :yeehaw: :yeehaw: I have an "04" KDX220 with some of the usual mods. I was wondering if anyone has taken their KDX to the Baja and rode it. I get really shi**y gas mileage. 50.3 miles to reserve. I also have a BRP600 in really good shape, but it is heavy and I dont like it anywhere near the way I like my KDX. If anyone has any input on this please let me know what I am in for, as this will be my first time to the Baja. :worship:
Thanks,
Randy

Idid Baja on a KDX a little over 10 years ago. I had zero problems - however, if I were to doit again - I would take my LC4 without question.

There are lots of really long sections that we sort of limped our bikes along.

You have to get the fuel issue resolved - maybe jetting?? I could get nearly 100 miles out of my 91 and we each carried a gallon of extra gas. Stop and fill every time you see a house with gas.

The place is a blast. Take a ferry to Mazatlan for an incredile experience.

If you can borrow a big single though - it makes the trip a lot less worrysome.
