Bar Width

What width bars are some of you woods riders running? I have the stock bars on my '03WR250F and it seems like they are a bit wide for some of the tight woods we ride. They measure a little over 32" wide. Also, I am vertically challenged at 5'6", so my arm length is somewhat shorter than most.

Most guys I know run about 30" not including the width of the bark busters.  Some like 29", but that is as narrow as you can go on most bars and still have room for lever perches.  Anything under 29" is pretty drastic, IMO.

Thanks for the advise. That is about what I had in mind. Any advise on cutting back the stock bars or the new Renthals I just picked up? The new bars are about 31". It looks like there are no bars made that are under 31", so there must me a lot of cutting going on.

Moose sells (or did sell) a Burleson bar that is essentially a CR-HI bend but only 30" wide.

If you are cutting your bar down, a pipe cutter works pretty good to get it started, then a fine blade hack saw to finish it off.
