For his 20th birthday, the supercross of Paris Bercy offered a new program, giving to the 125 class a very big exposure and a new schedule with three qualifying races, two last chances and one main event.

The “frenchies” did the show in the qualifying races, as Eric Sorby, Mickaël Maschio and Steve Boniface led each race. But Maschio lost his leadership when he missed a gear in the tunnel, while Sorby and Boniface easily won their qualifying race, beating Travis Preston and Stéphane Demartis. Broc Sellards finally won the second qualifying race, followed by Chris Gosselaar. The first “last chance” offered a great show to the 14000 fans Lamson got the holeshot followed by Maschio, and the battle was great between them and Rui Gonçalves. Maschio took the lead but did a mistake and lost too much time! After a great race, coming back from 7th Ryan Morais won this race followed by Serge Guidetty. In the second “last chance” Ivan Tedesco and Joakim Rodrigues crashed in the tunnel, but did a fantastic come back from last to third (Rodriguez) and first (Tedesco), Matt Walker finishing second.

Rodrig Thain on his factory Husqvarna got the holeshot in the main event, followed by Gosselaar and Langston while Rodrigues and Short crashed in the first corner. Thain did a great race, leading the main during six laps but Gosselaar did a “block pass” and took the lead. Thain lost time in this action, and Langston, Sellards and Tedesco also passed him Sorby (mechanical problem) and Walker (crash) lost their chances. For the win Langston pushed really hard behind Gosselaar, but the Honda rider had the race under control and won it, followed by Langston and Tedesco. Sellards and Walker also crashed in the second part of the race, and Preston finished fourth followed by Boniface and Hansen. For the team classification USA is leading, followed by France and rest of the world.
