My husband is getting back into riding offroad, and wants to get a back support/kidney belt that will really make a difference. At 20, he was hit by a police car, while he was going 55, and suffered a lot of injuries. At 57, he has chronic lower back pain and stiffness in the morning. He currently doesn't use any kind of back brace.
He'll be joining the site soon, I'm sure. This is my first visit here, and he asked me to post this question.
Thanks for your input.

as far as mx-related back support goes, there are a couple of companies that make products like:

i don't know about back support products specifically for back problems. all of the links above are to products with back support, but those companies also make kidney belts which provide (im guessing) less support to the back.

I have never tried the 661 stuff, but the EVS BJ22 offers far better lower back support than any kidney belt that I have ever seen or heard about. I have also allowed other riders to try mine on, and they have all said that it felt great.

I have the EVS BB1. It's much better than the Fox or O'neal pieces I had before. There is much more back support and the velcro system it awesome.
