I've been thinkin' (and that's dangerous sometimes! :eek: ) that maybe your little woman owes you flowers (or at least a new back tire) and a nice dinner out!

You were the good boy, so you should get the rewards!

I certainly hope that is not the case Spanky. I know for me that would be a sure fire relationship ender! If someone didn't trust me without cause and tried to "test" me for the sake of easing their mind, I would be PO'd! If I found out, that person had better head for the hills! :p Insecurity without cause is a very ugly thing in my book!

I was in the same boat. Sortof. Girlfriends best friend is staying at our house. My girlfriend goes to work and her friend comes in the bedroom and tries to start something, to the point of being totally "nekid". I refrained and went and took a shower, locked the door and told her to be gone when I got out.
My girlfriend was her maid of honor!!!!
Thankfully she lives in another state. I have never told my girlfriend but I won't allow her to stay at our house anymore and my girlfriend can't figure out why. I've been close to telling her, but still have not.

Okay, you guys want some honest female insight on this type of situation? It probably won't make me too popular and some may disagree but some women just tend to have this sort of ‘disease’ if you will, called “igottahavewhatsnotmineous” where as the 'unobtainable' becomes very desirable. If you know you can't have it, it just makes the 'challenge' all the more intriguing. Something snaps in these women’s brains and the ‘disease’ takes over. Now I’m not saying that ALL women are this way, most likely only a small percentage, but I have seen it time and time again (not just on Cinemax either) ;) and I have experienced this myself plenty in my ‘younger’ days. In 5th grade I stole a girls’ boyfriend simply because I wanted what she had. I don’t know what exactly triggers this in some women but I can tell you that it can diminish with age as well as fade if said women have the love of a good man. :)

I don't think my wife was testing me (will I ever know the truth about a woman's thoughts?:think ). I think the only person doing any testing was the woman that was testing to see if she could start some mischief. So, would you say I passed her test, or failed it?:think ;)

Spanky, you are a truly good guy. Most of the men I know have affairs on a regular basis. That's something that I will never understand. If you wanna sleep around, why not be honest about it? Gotta eat your cake and have it too? Selfish bas**rds!

I don't understand it either. Why did they get married in the first place if they don't have the integrity or the moral fortitude to be faithful to their spouse? This applies to women and men alike. If I ever got to the point that I could no longer be faithful to my wife, then I would know that the marriage was at an end, because I must have lost the integrity to honor the commitment that I made before God and men. My word, and my ability to keep it, and to be honest with myself and those around me, are things that I pride myself in, and I hope the day never comes that I lose those things.

Speedy- I've always had a theory about that, but I've never heard a woman say it: there are women out there that purposely hit on married men because they feel if they can get him to leave his wife for her, (or even cheat on her), then they (the seductress) must be that much more special/desirable.
I've heard others say that it's also because there could be no strings attatched.

About the flowers, gifts, special dinners... I agree with KC on this one - It would look suspicious.. give it a week or two for things to chill then sweep her off of her feet (for no reason).

Now back to the storyline... So you told your wife and she wasn't upset with you because she trusts you. WTG.. now she is going to have that 'talk' with her friend about what she has been up to. So what happened with that? Are they still friends?

They're clients. I DID have a friend who made it a point to sleep with every woman he could. I asked him once what he would do if his wife caught him. His reply: "She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer." They had only been married for 8 months, and he had an affair with the new wife while he was still married to the old one. :silly:

I decided (last New Year's Eve) to remove all the losers from my life. I did it, and I wound up with very few friends.

bsmith, this is a GREAT group of people. I've been hanging around here for close to two years. I was here for a while as "XR Lifer". After Bundu pointed out how incredibly boring my screenname was, I came back as JP. :p
There have been a few troublemakers, but for the most part, we all get along quite well. That's amazing, considering the sheer # of members and the differences in philosophy. Just don't call anyone a "goober" and you'll be fine.

Marlin, I've always had the same standards. I've not always lived by them, but they've always been there. I'm optimistic to a fault, and I've always thought that everyone is basically good. I've learned (the hard way) that lots of people are inherently evil, and that no amount of therapy, drugs,punishment, tolerance, patience or forgiveness will EVER change that basic flaw.

I've come to the conclusion that evil is hereditary.
