big bore/ cylinder repair

ok fellers here is my question. i locked my 2003 kx250 up at a race. it will cost $200.00 to fix the cylinder back to stock. I would rather have a big bore 265 kit from eric gorr. would you have to get the cylinder fixed before you could bore it?? i would rather spend the $500.00 on the whole kit and just skip the $200.00 deal. is that posible??

I sent my cylinder to Kustom Kraft,They resleeved it(it was a 125 now its a 134) added a wisco ultra lite piston and gaskits,plus shipping and it only cost me 369.00 that was last month,if your going to big bore it ,you should not have to repair it first!
