I have a 99 KDX 200 made into a 220 with wiseco piston kit, also a full pro circuit exhaust with a add on spark arrestor, boysen reeds and hot rods rod kit. There seams to be alot of black smoke coming from the exhaust. Is this normal? I also ride at 8,000 ft in altitude. I did purchage the bike that was being driving at 4,000 ft. Is this something I can fix with re-jetting the carb or with fuel mixture?

What is your Premix ratio. I mostly run 32/1 with klotz. I mix more oil if i know i am going to be running it long and hard. Is there any thing in the fuel?

You have a two-stroke motorcycle.
Two-strokes smoke (dark..usually blue).
It is normal.
Nothing wrong with your bike.
Probably.

higher altitude mean less air density.
so it need a little less fuel.

But, it is also normal for a 2 stroke to smoke a little.
it is better more thant not enough.
