What do you guys do when your in a slum[P] and life just feels like "blah"? I have being in one for like a year now...

I'd start by getting out of Cincinnati, go to the mountains, maybe the beach...smile Moo it gets better, I have watched my construction company go from $4 mil in sales for 2000 to $1/4 mil for 2001, the only blessing is that uncle sam' piece of pie is way less than it was last year. So, I know how ya may feel. I'll say a prayer for ya Moo.

MoO_coW,

Change your routine. Dance, sing, do stuff that you think is silly or that you have been too busy (so you think) to do.

Find a quiet place and pray, then look for the opportunities that are there for you to develop new relationships.

Moo, I know how you feel. ThiS whole winter has been a disaster for me . I broke up with my fiance, work troubles, etc, etc. The only thing I can say to you is keep busy and try to set goals for yourself. I find the later works the best. I write a list on paper of what I want accomplish for the week that way I am concentrating on that instead of just sitting around thinking about stuff. Hang in there buddy, it will get better.

Dang, it must be catchy. Now that I think about it, I've been in a rut for awhile too.

Must be those winter blahhs.

Moo, Keep you chin up man! Those teenage years can be a real bear if you let them. You all ready have been given some good advise, its up to you to make the change.

For the rest of those, me included, as I get very melancholy during the winter. Keep it in perspective. Spring is only 29 days away! Warmer weather, green grass, buds on the trees, that faint hint of spring time smell in the air. ;) Ride my brothers, ride! :aj:

Moo, looks like you have a lot of friends here looking out for you. Just look how lucky you are. Yeah things might seem bad for you right now, but in the long run it will be better. Life is just too short not to make the best of it. So go with an open mind and look back and really think “is this worth my time and energy?” So whatever has got you down, don’t worry so much. You may not give a rats ass about what I say, but I felt I needed to say something.

Good Luck,

Lee W.

P.S. if this doesn't make you laugh, then nothing will :aj: :aj: :aj:

I know, I know...

and I know this from experience. Put your attention on something else besides yourself, find one really good thing about it and the rest will follow, but you have to have the intention of having more fun in your life...

Thanks alot guys, im still buisy thinking of alot of stuff and I have alot of things going on that im not sure how there going to turn out and stuff but im getting through it. Im just having one of those years :D I would get out more if I didnt have problems with all my friends, seems like they're either crazy and scare me or they're crazy and say crap about me, I cant win , DRN has really helped me soooo much I dont even know how to express it, if I had any money I would become a support team member,:) but I should start my job by the end of this week so maybe that will relieve some stress, just getting out and working so I can get a new bike and hopefully if I dont run into 101 problems I can start racing this year. I have my ups and downs, today was kind of an up but I have a feelings its going to go down soon, but I dont know, if something happens I will put it on here....Thanks so much guys, and yes, those things did make me laugh :)

I know this sounds goofy, but my blahs usually have to do with inactivity. The bodies energy level and minds well-being are soo much better when you stay physically active and eat right. When the metabolism is down, so is energy followed by motivation and happiness.

Get out and ride if possible, get involved in a pick-up league (basketball, volleyball, etc-which can be done indoors) or get outside-I love outdoor activities (fishing, hiking). Take some outdoor photos-anything to get involved with your surroundings and get back to feeling on top of your game. Drop the french fries, eat some good foods for good energy and have fun. Just a different approach that works for me. If you need anything-we are all here.:)

It may not seem like it right now, but life really goes by quick. Try to focus on doing the things that you really enjoy doing while your young and healthy.
A wise man once said obstacles are things you see when you lose focus of your goals; so set your goals, and work to achieve them.
I find working out to be a great stress reliever; it's something you can enjoy as an idividual with the added beneffits of improveing mental and physical fitness Good Luck!

Moo, The Tuna said it good.
Start a workout routine to stay or get in shape for riding season. I just started reading Lance Armstrongs' book, " It's not about the bike". If you read this book, you will think your pretty lucky right now. Its an awsome story that will get you motivated.
hang in there bud, good times are ahead.

Some things that work for me when i get the "blahs".

Get on the bike and R I D E !!!! (#1 cure)

Go to Furr's (you DO have a Furr's restaraunt nearby doent you??)
and buy one of their "Millionaire" pies. Dont share it! Eat the whole thing yourself. Ohhhh HEAVEN! :D

If you have a PS2 go buy GT3 and play it for about 2 hours.
(radically fun!) Tip: the Skyline GTR vspec2 and the Subaru Impreza 22B ROCK!

Do something crazy, like being the first on your block to stuff a XR650R engine into a XR200R frame..........

Oh, and if you manage that last one..............let me know how much you want for it. :p
