Boots, Tech 6 vs SG1

I need new boots and have narrowed my choices down to the Alpinestars Tech 6 and the Gaerne SG1. From what I've read on DRN both are good boots, but are there any advantages of one over the other? Most of my rides are full day events so comfort is definitely an issue. Other concerns are weight and long term durability.

How do these boots fit compared to actual shoe size?

And can white boots kept white?
