I've got a '98 200. Love the way the bike is setup for the woods, but I'd like to get as much power out of the cylinder as possible. Does anyone know much you can bore a 200. I was looking on the Eric Gorr site and I saw that he had a '98 KDX 240, is this as big as the kawi can be bored?
240 is the largest that I've heard of but that requires a sleve insert. Personally i would go for the 225cc option because this uses a plated cylinder.
My '93 had the 240 in it. The bike was a good runner, made lots of low end but fell a little shy on top. It was sleeved, but wear was never an issue, the sleeve remained unbored when I sold it. You should be aware, however, that they only make up to a .040 over piston for it, so that's as far as the sleeve can be bored.
