I've heard good things from the mag's and in here about the EBC MXS pads. I don't have any time w/them, but I plan on using them to replace my current pads when the time comes. That is, unless somebody in here bashes them(w/good reason) or someone comes up w/a better pad.

mike,
I believe it's DOT 5 you want to stay away from. It seems it's too caustic for your system. Try DOT 4 or, if you can find it, DOT 5.2
I like the EBC pads. THe MXS may not last as long as some but will give you the best feel I think.

Depends on HOw dry it is where you ride. I have the EBC semi metallic/carbon style pads. They work great on dry tracks. I ride alot of off road and after one muddy ride they stopped working and are almost worn away. For my style riding I will go back to the sintered style..OEM..they sometimes squeak and are hard on rotors but they stop under all conditions.

I've had really bad luck with EBC pads on my 2000 exc200. They wore out fast in wet conditions didn't stop the bike well and squealed badly. I switched to Braking brand pads and have had none of the above problems.
