I Heard Go On A Flat Oval, Run 1/4 Throttle Till Warmed Up, Shut Down, Cool Down, Start Up Run 1/2 Throttle Till Warm, Shut Down Cool Down, Start, Run Hard Till Warm, Shut Down Cool Down
The piston & ring need to go through a few heat/cool cycles for break in, the reason is so they can form to the cyclinder. I do pretty much like braulsy mentioned except I don't bother with finding an oval track. I take it easy and stay 1/4 throttle for about 10 minutes then completely cool down (about an hour). Next cycle I stay under 1/2 throttle for 10 to fifteen minutes and allow to cool. After that I ride pretty aggressively for 20 or so minutes then allow to cool. After that your done.
