Broke the spark plug wire in the cold up here in NH. Do I need to
replace the whole coil? Kinda looks that way.

Where?, right at the coil or half way & if so how? It can be repaired as it is a simple stranded copper wire, but not that easy, there used to be extenders on the auto market.
You might use a sparkplug cap with a long wind in point & cut it & gut it but you need the threaded brass bit to attach the 2 pieces securely (tape over the outside just wouldn’t cut it for insulation).
