According to MX Racer mag, Brown did, indeed show his middle finger to Langston at Steel City. Very uncool.

It didn't seem to phase Langston who hugged Brown on the podium. Fonseca even waved Brown by on his way to victory. No ill will there either.

Brown is a warrior on the track and he takes no prisoners. I think all his compettitors respect him for it. I like him.

That's what I thought when I saw it, but evidently not.

FWIW- I'm a Brownie fan. Still, it was uncool.

To me when I saw Brown do that I lost some respect for him. After that gesture and the following interview he came off as a whining baby. No matter what I hear about him earning the 125 title he lucked into it pure and simple.

I guess it all depends on what is, is.:silly:

Brown acknowledged that he shouldn't have done it. What a wussie. Probably just bucking for that Tampax sponsership.:silly:

Brown lucky?

Saying that Brown lucked into the 125 championship is ridiculous. He rode around, through and by everyone on the track. He was the fastest guy on a 125 this year and he wanted the championship-this much is obvious. If riders were in front of him he flat out went by them by any means necessary. Langston was not exactly the picture of rider etiquite this year either. Brown was great to watch and I hope his style of riding is the same next year. He'll need it to take on Stewart. Anyone who doesn't like Brown's style has never raced 125's. If you don't like Brown, you must hate Hannah-the godfather of modern motocross racing. :think

Treadin' on some thin ice there!

As for the finger, big whoop. I use it liberally. It can speak volumes without saying a word.

Heck, it's kind of a "salute" that me and my buds give each other.

I understand, now. Thanks for the clarification.:)

Get a sense of humor, I don't think I offended anyone and if I did they need to grow some thicker skin. It was a tongue in cheek comment. :silly:

Brown had luck on his side moto1313, thats why he took the title, if the wheel didnt fall to bits the way it did, or just didnt fall to bits, he would have beaten brown and takent he title no sweat. But also what was Rc doing there, he shouldnt have ridden the 125's, and Langston should have won the title, but also whats up with not letting Langston have rookie of the year?? Next year he will not be a rookie any more, that is a stupid rule that the AMA have.

I saw what he did and lost alot of respect for him. That combined with his move letting to let RC win really made me mad at him. I hope he looks at this in hindsight and sees what he did wrong. :( :silly:
