Can exc tranny be put into 2001 250 mxc?

Just looking at possibilities if I want to do this. Bike: 2001 250 mxc. Can the exc tranny gears be put into the mxc? Or........I realize the 250 mxc is a 5 speed, but....can the newer mxc 6 speed be put into it?

I'm pretty sure the two five speeds parts are interchangable. As far as the 6 speed goes I doubt it. It would be cool if you could though.

Thanx DWreck. That's good info to know about. It seems like several of the ktm models have interchangeable motor parts which is cool - you can change things to suit your needs if ended up buying a bike that is a little off from what you really wanted.

They're good to go on RFS models, but I don't know about 2 smokers.

I believe there are no 6 speed trannies for the big 2 smokes.200 has it
