Can I put a KDX stator on a KX?

My buddy wants to put lights on his 92 KX 250 that actually work. It currently has a Electrex lighting coil which is a complete joke. Question is, Can a stator and flywheel off a 92 KDX 250 work on the KX? I know I was able to drop a WR stator and flywheel into my YZF with no problems and would like to do the same to his KX. Anyone know the answer to this? Who might I call to get an answer? Thanks :laugh:

Why not buy the right stator w/lighting coil? I can find one new for my 88 CR250, so a 92 KX250 shouldnt be too hard to find one for.

There is no one that I know of that makes a stator w/ lighting coil for my bike. I already bought a electrex coil for the KX but the thing is worthless... :ugg:
