My kids age 7 and 11 ride a 2001 Suzuki JR80. The rear suspension is set up with the minimum pre-load, yet when they sit on it there is probably less than half an inch sag and the ride is so firm the rear end bounces around on the bumps rather than absorbing them. Even under my weight (187 pounds), the rear end never bottoms out, although the front is very soft.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get make the back end softer? Is it possible to get a softer spring?
