okay i just wanted to share this with everyone. a couple days ago i got in a car accident involving me, my 93 jeep cherokee, and a tree. somehow i walked away, but the car is totalled. my mom took me to the ER just to make sure nothing was wrong but all the x-rays were negative. let me just say that crashing a car is the most scary experience i think a human can go through.

Kind of reminds me of me

When I was 16 I had a buddy that raced Mx & was pretty good. He was the only friend I had into motorcycles and I rode with him every chance I got since he always had a hald dozen or so bikes at any given time. The one & only time I was going to get the chance to go to a MX race with him was a Sun. morn after a good rain the night before. I hopped into the 1964 1/2 year model 65 Mustang GT and headed to Genes' house. As soon as I crossed the double dip in the road that everybody punched it I hit a big puddle of water causing me to spin around, jump the curb, through the fence and into the tree. How it happened I'll never know. I ended up pointing the opposite direction than I was headed with the outside front end of my car smashed but the other side was against the tree. Also trashed a couple of factory mags in the process. I guess you'd have to have been there to understand what I'm saying but it was sure tough explaining it to Dad.
Good thing I worked in a body shop.
Never did make it to the races, it would be almost 25 years later before I would finally get the chance to make my 1st visit to a real race.

Sometimes it's more upsetting watching a bad accident happen in front of you than being in one. I've seen some bad crashed and have been in a few too but watching them happen disturbs me. If you have a chance, go to a tow yard and look at some mangled cars, it's good to bring your newly driving kids to see what steel does at only 45 mph. They think that you have to be hauling butt to tear up a car but hitting a tree at 45 mph with no brakes rips up a car in no time. Glad to hear you came through fine but I'll bet you're pretty stiff today!

Nope......try getting shot at. Not knowing if a bullet has your name on it or not is pretty exciting. Either that or saying "I do"

Hearing bullets hit trees around you is pretty darn scary.
On the car accident issue, my cousin hit a tree mid air doing 100mph in a honda civic del sol and walked away. He had a gash oh his head but other than that he was fine. The car however was not. The radiator was thrown quite a ways, the transmission broke in half, ie. I saw the gears hanging out of the bottom. THis was possible because the right front fender, wheel, and suspension were peeled back by the passenger door. All of the tires popped and the wheels folded under. The seat broke off its mounts when it hit and his head broke the mounts for the targa top. Needless to say this car was never to move again. It must not have been too scary though because he still drives fast, just not 100mph on the snow.
