Carbon Fiber Frame Guards

I know the carbon fiber frame guards look cool, but how well do they hold up? I had aluminum guards on my old bike, and they worked great, but they seemed to be wearing off aluminum onto my boots. And i was wondering if the epoxy used on the CF is good against rubbing off?

Mine were on my bike when I got it. No problems one year in. I suppose they had been on for about a year before. . .
