chain slider

i have an xr70 that i just put a H-arm on and a nasty shock on and my chain ripped my chain slider off but it was a piece of crap one so i want to make one from my burned out dirtbike tire and drill holes into my swing arm and bolt it down like my kx125 will this swing arm be able to take this little fabrication without harming my $180 swing arm lolz :nener:

Why would you make a chain slider from a rubber tire? There is a reason sliders are made from a hard slick material and it's not because they don't want people making their own from used tires.
