hey guys.... i am quite the newb here but i took my front wheel off the other day to see if my rim was bent..... and now i cant get the wheel back on because i pumped the brakes with the wheel off and the pads have closed. How do i seperate the pads so i can insert the disk between them??
Thanks a lot

I use a big flat tip screwdriver to pry them apart.
That will work just be careful not to pry hard or you could damage the pad faces. I usually get the screwdriver blade in between and then twist it to spread them. Go easy and you should be fine

I usually remove the pads if possible, if not, the I separate them until I can, then I remove the pads. After that, a C-clamp will put the piston back in place, but it's not always necessary.

Don't forget to open the bleed screw before trying to pry.
Why? I have never needed to. Worst case scenario, you may need to remove the reservoir cover, but even that is unlikely unless you have overfilled it with fluid.
