That's very generous of you! Kenpogirl, please let WoodsChick know if you are gonna need the bike! This is a very special bike, btw. ;)

Looks like I will hopefully get of duty at 7:00 am, Hopefully! I think it will take me about 1 hour and 45 min to get there. Maybe the early gals could check back at the parking place for the late arrivers, lisa.

Thanks Woodschick!!!! I truely appreciate you letting me borrow you bike, but I would feel weird about it. I would mind putting it around, but I would just worry that I would break something on it just because it's not mine. If someone else needs it let then use it. You ladies are awesome!!! There is a great chance that my fork seal are comming in today, however I have run into another snag. It appears that my chain may have snapped becaused the bolt that holds the rubber chain guide on (on the top of the swingarm) backed out. The guy that had the bike must have tapped out the hole bigger a few times. I locked tighted the bolt in the day before but since the bolt is so big when it backed out I think it caught the chain. Now the threads are gone, and I really don't want to tap it out bigger. We were thinking of having someone weld up the hole and re-drill and tap it the correct size. Now if someone can do that today....or I can tap it out bigger temporily. Anyway, I haven't given up. I am one of the most determined people you will ever meet, so don't be surprised to see me tomorrow. If I make it I will propably pull in about 8:30-9:00am. I will be in a charcoal grey chevy Silverado. It will have my KTM, my husbands WR250F (YZ Plastics), and my nephew's PW80. My brother inlaw was in an auto accident early this week and his neck is bothering him, so he will not be riding. He is taking his 8 year old son to Hollister for the first time so he can rip it up.

LOL! Trust me when I say that there is nothing you could do to that bike that I haven't done already. Honestly.

Good news about your bike. I'm looking forward to meeting you and riding with you.

It looks as though Eric won't be riding this weekend, so I'll have his ECO250 to ride!! Yay!! Y'all can hang back and watch me flounder on a bike that's too big for me, ok? I still remember how to aim for the high spot when coming to a stop, though, so I should be ok...I hope. I'll still be bringing my 125, though, so there will be an extra bike hanging around just in case anyone needs it, or just wants to try out a CR125 that's been lowered 2".

See y'all tomorrow!

Okay, we are packed up, cleaned up, gassed up and the bike is waiting to be hijacked into the house at dark so I can load it up in the morning to get out of town early enough. I even bought a pair of knee guards today. You ladies are inspiring me already! LOL See you tomorrow! Kim

That's funny! It reminds me of when I rented a house down in San Leandro. We had no place to keep our bikes, so the 3 streetbikes lived in the glass-enclosed sunporch, and my CR's and my roommate's YZ lived in the living room. We had to keep the shades closed `round the clock so that the landlady wouldn't see all that machinery sitting on her carpet.

We used to work on Eric's roadrace bikes at night in the hotel rooms, too. We'd have to get up super-early to wheel them out before anyone was up in the office.

I'm glad those days are over, but it's fun to think about ;)

See ya tomorrow!

I can kinda relate! My landlady doesn't like the bikes in the GARAGE :coocoo: they aren't her concern (her words, long, long, long story) but she would rather us park our trucks in the garage. She doesn't understand, bikes in garage, trucks in driveway...ugh. She is so brainless it's not even funny!!

Everyone have a great time and a safe trip . If we weren't so close to us making THE biggest purchase of our lives, I would probably make the trip. Gotta save money right now though.

Well, I just got off the phone with Kenpogirl and she's still having fork seal issues - new ones! :bang: I'm trying hard to convince her that she needs to come anyway!!!!!

Then I talked to Karna and she's all packed and ready to go and she gave me her Starbuck's order so that we can just Caffeinate and GO! once I get to her house!! :)

Kimmylion, I shoulda had you just bring your bike over to my house and we could have caravaned in the morning (As long as you don't mind stopping at Starbucks on the way out of town!)

Can't wait to see everyone!!!!

I'm sooo bummed .... you were riding troll trail while we were sitting around and now you have a great sounding riding and I'm headed to the snow for the weekend. Keep posting when you are going to Hollister or Carnegie and eventually I'll meet up with some of the DRNers.

Have a great ride...I'm off to build an igloo.

Yeah I'm hoping so. I really want to go on one of these group rides. We had originally planned on going to dirtweek this year, we'll see though. Depends on how we're coming w/the property and a house.

Just wanted to send a quick note to say that I had a blast yesterday! It was really fun meeting all of you. Ellen, I can't believe that you made it down.... WE ARE FLATTERED. Sorry that I did not get to ride with you and Mini more.... We rode over to lower Hollister and did not see you! Enjoy your stay in CA and if you stay a week and ride next weekend... let Pierre and me know.

Yesterday was amazing... I cannot remember when I rode a full day. After we all rode Lake and Jay's Way etc., Tami, Lisa, Mike, Pierre, Heidi and I went back out to ride some single track and had a lot of fun. Lisa and Heidi called it a day and the rest of us decided to go out again for some single track and mud. And, yes, of course I always crash in the dirtiest, muddiest, wettest places. Thanks for getting a photo of that Tami!

Anyway, the ride ended as the sun was going down.... Pierre and I hit San Luis Obispo for some excellent burgers only to come home, shower, and fall asleep on the couch. Riding is so much fun.... it is great to feel full day exhaustion!

For the books, Susan we missed you!!!!! Mini and Ellen had nice, new shiny 250X's. The twins could have been triplets! We should make plans for a ride at Moonrocks!

Thanks again girls for a great ride! Big Kudos to Natalie for organizing this ride! I am sure that Hollister has never seen so many women on a group ride!

LOL! I ran into Jacqueline's friend Niles on the trail, and he asked me, "What is this, Rippin' Chick Day at Hollister? I got passed by someone, and I saw this ponytail flyin'!"

I had a great time yesterday. It was fun to meet a bunch of gals that just like to ride their bikes. Everyone rode really well, we didn't have any trail disasters, and I think we all had a blast riding together. It would have been easier if Hollister hadn't been so crowded, but that's what you get at Hollister.
Now if we could all meet during the week at Clear Creek sometime... ;)

I thought it was great when a woman with another large group stopped on the trail and said, "Man, I wish I was riding with you guys instead!" She had a bunch of little kids in her group and had a forlorn look on her face.

Big Thank-You to Natalie for bringing us together and for making her little Chick Goodie Bags. I felt so pretty when I was riding in my LipSmackers!

Now if only I could remember everyone's name...

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! First Kathy (rockyroads) and I met up with Rickyd, Kawidude and Doug for an awesome early morning ride. Then meeting up with you gals for the rest of the morning was soooo much fun. I can't wait for the next time we get to have another day like that. I REALLY didn't want to leave at noon but I had MOM DUTY, and of course I had to go. I am so impressed by all the riding abilities of our group. I have never riden with more than one or two gals, EVER!!! This was very special and I will never forget it. THANKS for letting me be part of it.

LOL!!! That would be a long drive for just burgers... It was San Juan Bautista honey, not SLO. :rotfl:

I got to sneak in the afternoon/evening ride and had a blast with the ladies! Heidi taught me how to wheelie, Tami smoked me with her 2-stroke fumes (I can still smell it) and Lisa made some impressive demonstrations of XR wall climbing.

I had a blast riding with Mikey all morning and he helped me a lot with my riding techniques. I think I can turn now, I just need to practice.

It was great to see/meet everyone. Next time I'll attach a poney tail to the back of my helmet and ride with the girls all day! :aj: :debil:

Well, I am glad you ladies had fun and I am sorry that I bailed. One of the ladies was nice enough to let me borrow her bike which I truely appreciated. I am kind of obsessed when I get my mind set on something. I was going to get the bike ready for a ride if it took forever. I got my bike back together friday night and when putting the fork gaurds the bolt snapped off in the lower fork. We could not get it out and I was so fustrasted. I could have rode with it like that, but it just didn't feel secure and its the guard that has my brake line attached. Yes, I am anal!!!! :coocoo: Anyway, after a few hours we fixed it on Saturday and we went up and rode on Sunday. Hopefully you ladies will have another ride in the future, because I would really like to meet you all. I talked to Natalie over the phone and she seemed like an awesome person. We are both directionally challanged too. By the way...I do have reservations to make the Reno ride if there is still a ride.

Hi All, I had such a great time!!!!!! It was so great to meet you all! I cant wait untill the reno ride. Thanks so much to Natalie for making it happen and of course the goodie bag! I have always rode with the guys, (which is fun) but I got such a sense of pride riding with a large group of woman. The energy was great. I was so impressed with the abilities of you gals. And then there were moms hauling ass! Hopefully we can do it again. Don and I are going to go to Stoneyford for 5 days or so in late March, I will post as we get closer, hopefully some of you can come and join us.
