Clear Creek has MAPS!

Fremontguy and I went down to Clear Creek today. While waiting for Fremontguy to arrive I strolled over to the info board.

What did I see but a trail map! :) Not only a map but the trails now have trail id posts. :) Fremontguy and I were going to try and find our way around without getting lost. By checking out the map we were able to ride without fear of never finding our way back.

At the end of the day, the Ranger? that made the maps came over to ask us how well did the map work. GREAT!
There are just a few plastic laminated maps at the staging areas info boards. The ranger is still debugging the legend and errors.
So there will NOT be any available to the public for a while. :(

The conditions were great! We had a great time.

I think John meant Creek not Creel:)

creel [kreel ] (plural creels) noun
1. wicker basket for fish: a wicker basket used by anglers for holding fish
2. wicker fish trap: a wicker trap for catching fish or lobsters
3. bobbin holder: a framework in a spinning machine that holds the bobbins

Maps will definitely help us directionally impaired folk, (speaking for myself).
Hills, manzanita, and the ruts of life. Good riding at the creek today.

I was there sunday. It was slippery and cold! I had ice in my socks after bombing through the snow covered manzanita! That place will make a man out of you the hard way. This weekend will be perfect if we don't get any more rain.

Thanks, Les. I corrected the subject title.

Angry Jim,
The puddles that were in the shade had ice on them even in the late afternoon.

Can't change the spelling in forum subject box.:o

Ret Senior,
I saw her report. I was suppose to go down there myself. I didn't go.
What hell she went through. I'm too old for that much excitement.
