Clutch Question

I'm having a bit of trouble with the clutch. When I squeeze the clutch lever the gears do not fully disengage. I have replaced and adjusted the cable to no avail. I don't seem to have any trouble shifting or finding neutral. The guy I purchased the bike from uses 10w-40 in the gear case. Could this be the problem?
Can someone help me?

I think you plates are worn, I replaced the fiber plates in a 90' KX125 last week,it had the same problems.

Drain the gear case oil, If it's kind of milky, that means the clutch plates are worn.

Cable could be strecthed

Lever or perch could be wrong

Clutch basket could be worn

on my YZ i had the same things..my cabe was streached like over an inch out...you have to make sure that your bike isent like mine the motor has to be runing for the clutch to fully work
