well my clutch in my 94 kdx200. went out last night. Well this is what happened..
got it back together and took it for a spin. When I got home and rolled in the the garage I was still in 1st gear with the clutch pulled in and when I came to a stop the bike wanted to roll forward still. so I killed the motor and started it in N then shifter to 1st and the bike began to roll forward with a good amount of force.
So this is what I did...
I had to adjust the cable almost all the way out to keep the bike from scooting forward while in 1st and with the clutch pulled in.
from reading/searching it was said that a worn clutch basket could cause this as well and a streached out clutch cable.
I ordered a new kit springs/steel plates/friction plates.
from the looks of it the job will be easy.
but any pointers that might help me along the way would be great.
Thanks
Jim
