Compatible parts

Does anyone know if the upper and lower tripleclamps on a 1999 PW 80 are compatible with those off of a 1984 model? Or how can I find out?

My Clymers manual says it's for 1983, 1985, 1991-2002. So that leads me to believe there were some model changes in 1984, 1986-1990.

I am new to moto cross bikes but I would suggest you look at a website such as the one listed below. They have parts scematices for all bikes and you could at least compare the part #'s to see if they are the same or take a look at the diagram to see if they are similar.
