LET FORD HEAR THUNDER FROM GRASSROOTS AMERICA NOW!

Ford Motor Company recently granted the National Audubon Society $5 million. The Audubon Society has been actively pushing OHV closures for years and was one of the primary advocates of the Clinton/Gore Roadless Initiative. Audubon is just one of the green groups that Ford has been supporting. Let Ford Motor Company know how you feel about this. Use the following as a guide for your message - or cut and paste - to send a note to Sandra E. Ulsh, Vice President of the Ford Motor Company Fund, at fordfund@ford.com.

Sandra E. Ulsh: I understand that Ford Motor Company has been financially supporting the Audubon Society and other anti-recreation-access groups. I, and my family, are outdoor recreation enthusiasts who strongly disagree with the Audubon Society’s public land lock up agenda. Why is Ford Motor Company supporting groups who advocate closing public lands that are being used by your customers. I encourage Ford Motor Company to consider financial support for recreation advocacy groups such as the BlueRibbon Coalition.

(Be certain to include your name, address and phone number)

You can also call Ford at 800 392-3673, at the first prompt enter 3, at the second prompt enter 2. At that time you will be asked to enter your 10 Digit Telephone number. Then you will be linked to a live person who will do a VERY complete interview about your complaint.

This doesnt make much sense... Ford Motor Co. owns Mazda. Mazda sponsors supercross, and has there name on McGraths bike. Then Ford supports the Greenies?

Done.
But Mazda doesn't tell birdwatchers they can't come in and watch the race. And furthermore the average American sees Mazda as a Japanese Company and not an American one(which it really is) :think
If they(FORD) wants to make a grant to the Volunteer Stat Trailriders Assoc, I'll be nice to them.

Its called Hush money.....Ever hear the greenies protesting the Valdez oil port, Yep the place the Exxon Valdez happened . Couldnt it be repeated, Or happen...Yes it could. But Exxon pays Hush money (contributions) to the Greens and they lay off the heat. Sorta like legalized protection money.
Ford dont want the SUV's and the Carta rules to come under fire. So pay a few dollars to the greens and hey Everyones happy. The 6 figured green not for profit orgs. big wigs keep their poo poo offices and life style at the expense of every North American. Yes the Candians pay for this too, Through higher car costs, and land lose. I wish 60 Minutes or 48 hours would take a close look at all the Not for Profit Green Orgs. the offices and homes of the execs. Show the paying public the true way their cash is spent. If the public would find out the real side to the greens. The greens cash flow would drop off fast and hard.
Just my 2 cents:o

E-Mail all of 'em

I agree with the e-mails to Ford, but at the same time you may as well send one to GM and Chrysler-they all give to the Audobon Society and MANY other green org's.

I fired off an email this morning too. It made me get the kids up late, which made me late for work, which made me take the afternoon off.

I haven't checked to see if this has already been posted, but I find it an interesting angle and one that I have always agreed with. Just don't have the writing skill to make the point. CLICK

You could be right. But, I think that only Ford's Chairman of the Board has attended and addressed a Greenpeace conference CLICK HERE.

Are we not being a bit quick on the draw here? Do you actually think that the donations these automakers make to the AUdubon Society is to back their efforts to thwart off-road use? I very much doubt that that is the intent of the donation. I tend to feel it is more like MRRMX has stated. Who knows what pressures these folks have put on Ford anyway. Ford has been is some deep doo doo lately with Firestone and all the recalls they have had, so I figure they are running scared and probably feel they can't afford another scandal, true or not true. I imagine that with the tactics these greenies use, they lay and wait for such an occasion for an automaker such as ford, or any other big time corporate figure to be in dire straits so they can put the screws to them for money. I will not complain to them until I have more facts. I will not consider selling any vehichles because I see a post here. I think y'all are going off the reactionary deep end here.

Can you say "Knee Jerk"?

No we are not. BRC is reputable group so I am inclined to think that the basic facts are as stated. Whether Ford intended their funds to be used to block ATV access is not the point. Money is fungible and the Audubon Society spends money on anti-access political activity. Ford, intentionally or not, is underwriting that effort with their donation. The pressures that Ford is under from the Anti-Access groups is all the more reason to make our views known. If Ford only gets pressure from them, and none from us when they cave, how do you think future funding decisions are going to come down?

I don't plan on running out and selling my Ford, but some letters or emailed complaints are entirely warranted.
