Compression 2003 RM 250?

Does anyone have a compression (psi) reading for a fresh top end on a 2003 RM250. I bought a copression tester and want to know a baseline. thanks for any suggestions.

It should be somewheres near 130 to 140. The compression will go up after the rings seat.

My 82 RM125 puts out 165. A 250 should be anywhere from 180-220.

But your reading is with the rings seated probably.

Who worries about the compression reading before the break in? Of course it will be a little bit low, and there is no exact sience as to figuring how low it will be for sure. Break that critter in, and then look for (as stated above) 180+ compression.

Mine had 210 at the last top end.
