Thanks for the link! Being mid 40's, I can really relate to that song and time period.

Looks like Kid in '89 was listening to alot of the same things we did in '79, lol.

Loved the Zevon and Skynyrd influenced music, the multitude of 70's and 80's references and the bitchen guitar solo.

To me, the theme seemed like KR's version of the Bryan Adam's song, "Summer of '69".

But, I like Uncle Kracker, Kid Rock, Saliva, etc. I even like a lot of country.

But this song just shouts "sell out" and seems like a rip off and not original at all.

I like a lot of Kid Rock stuff but not this one.
