Coolant in my OIL HELP!

why is there coolant mixing with my oil? do i have to split the case to fix the problem? i have a 89 kdx 200 e1. i need help fast. and how do you feel about a hybrid? my front end came from a kx 250.

Hi Sound like your water pump seal has gone.I'm not sure how easy it is to replace one on you bike. The part should be cheap thought

i replaced all the gaskets. do you know where in the bike it is?

no need to split cases just remove the clutch cover and remove the gear from the back of the pump.. pull the pump then the seal and push a new seal in

It's the seal behind the water pump?

The water pump should be on the right side of the engine in front of the clutch. It has a hose or two going into it.

so i go through the left side? the water pump is on the right tho.

remove the clutch cover. The clutch cover is on the RIGHT side of the engine. You'll need to remove the INNER cover not the small round outer cover. Once you get that off you will plainly see what needs to be done.

so the cover connected to the case, **** ill need a new gasket then. no money.

how you gonna replace the water pump oil seal/bearing with no money anyway??? It's quite likely the side cover gasket will be re-usable if you are careful taking the clutch cover off, but you'd still have to buy the seal and bearing for the water pump.

i have all the seals already. i just didnt know how to switch the seal when i put the gaskets on.
