Copemish MI - round # 3 of FES and HS

This weekend will be the first time that a family enduro and hare scramble
event will be at the same location. We will be in Copemish and want to encourage the hare scramble riders to arrive a day early to ride
the family Enduro and also have the FES participants to spend the night to
ride the HS on Sunday.

The FES course will be similar to last year and nine miles long. The park
is large enough that multiple courses have been established for the morning
and afternoon HS events on Sunday.

Michigan Off Road events will handle the scoring of the family enduro and
will be assisting the HS scoring team on Sunday. We look forward to seeing everyone
in Northern Michigan for round # 3 of both series.

I think this is the track that had the "escargot" section a few years back - - - that was a super fun track!!

We rode a smaller version of the escargot on Saturday and Sunday.

It was a great weekend in Copemish. It rained on Friday and made for great traction for the family enduro on Saturday. We had 139 participants (20 more than last year) and we had a lot of smiles on faces after the event.
The temperatures were warm on Saturday and Sunday and the HS riders had to deal with dust, but the wind was helpful. We had 148 entries for the HS. It would have been great to have a 300 rider weekend....maybe next year.

Thanks to the Twin Bay Trail Riders for laying out a great course. We heard a lot of compliments on Saturday and Sunday.
