CR shock question

The top bearing on my shock is pretty sloppy. I've replaced suspension bearings with no problem on this bike, but this part of the manual seems to be written in Japanese. There's some reference to a stop ring for this bearing....which I can't see.
Does anyone have any tips for me? My first urge is to just warm the top of the shock and pound the bearing out; but it seems there must be more to this?

I think it has some kind of snap ring in it-a website like service honda will have a parts diagram that will help.
