Im rebuilding the top end on my 2001 CR250 and i put the rings on and went to put they cylinder and once i got in it didn't seem to go all the way up the cylinder and the rings somehow got bent up in the reed valve port. Am i putting the cylinder in facing the right way? I put the Triangle towards the front. if anyone has any infor that would be great thanks!!

make sure your piston and cylinder match. Because for the CR there is an A and B cylinder the A cylinder is 0.010 smaller than the B each having corresponding pistons bad things happen if you were to miss match them like instant seizures of the piston to the cylinder and broken piston skirts.

well the piston fits great...i got the A....cuz thats what it said on the outside of the cylinder and such. The pins in the ring grooves were all lined up right too, and i did have the triangle facing the exaust side. should i have had to get it past the intake port? and then would it be ok?
