Hey guys,

Quick question. When it comes to bolting the crankcase back together, do I need to use "Kawasaki Bond" or is there an equivalent sealant I may use?? I want to do the job right but it would be nice to get alot done today if I can (not alot of free time during the week). Who stocks Kawasaki bond anyhow?? Dealership, parts store?? Also, what is the main purpose of the jig that sits on either side of the crankcase rod?? This is my first tear-down and rebuild. All-in-all pretty stress free with all the right tools and just taking my time plus I ordered a service manual which helped a ton. Now, its just time to put everything back together. Thanks in advance to all who respond.

Thanks,

Chad

You can use Kawi bond, Yama bond or Honda sealant. If none of those dealers are open, go to your local auto parts store and buy a tube of Permatex Ultra Grey sealant.

Your Kawi won't know the difference. ;)
